🔥 PRECISION FITMENT. PRODUCTION-READY PERFORMANCE. 🔥

We’ve completed the new close-tolerance shafts for our Blacksite Motorsports Internal RTAWD Viscous Couplers!

Engineered for both NON-RAMP and RAMP variants, these shafts support Honda CR-V, Element, and Crosstour rear differential applications. The shaft-to-plate engagement is exceptionally clean and tight—fitment doesn’t get much closer than this without permanently locking the plate to the shaft.

After working through several final design considerations, our close-tolerance Internal RTAWD Couplers are well underway. This is the strongest and most refined version of the design we have produced to date.

Production release is approaching, and these couplers are expected to arrive soon—just in time for the Blacksite Motorsports grand opening!

UPDATE #6: CNC MANUFACTURING COMPLETE — NEXT STOP, TIG WELDING

The final CNC-machined components are complete for the Blacksite Motorsports Billet Front Steering Knuckle System.

Developed as a first-of-its-kind billet front steering knuckle platform for:

• 1992–1995 Honda Civic
• 1993–1998 Honda Del Sol
• 1994–2001 Acura Integra

This is not simply a billet copy of an OEM component. The system was engineered to improve suspension geometry, steering performance, weight, compatibility, and overall motorsports capability.

Key Design Features:

• Approximately 1.5-inch upper radius-arm geometry correction
• 1.5-inch roll-center correction using standard ball joints
• 1-inch lower steering-arm correction to help reduce bump-steer
• Modular 32 mm and 36 mm axle/hub configurations
• Compatible with 4x100, 4x114.3, and 5x114.3 bolt patterns
• Supports standard sheet-metal or steel brake-duct mounts
• Retains the OEM brake-rotor dust shield and mounting hardware

The Blacksite Motorsports billet assembly weighs only 4.717 pounds per side, compared with approximately 13.7 pounds per side for the OEM assembly.

That represents nearly 9 pounds of unsprung-weight reduction per corner and almost 18 pounds across the front of the vehicle.

Every mounting point, bore, machined surface, and modular component represents countless hours of design, reverse engineering, programming, machining, inspection, and refinement.

With CNC manufacturing officially complete, the assemblies are now ready for precision TIG welding, followed by final inspection, finishing, assembly, and validation.

UPDATE #5: CNC Manufacturing Complete — Next Stop, TIG Welding

Blacksite Motorsports has officially completed the CNC manufacturing phase of our billet aluminum front steering knuckle sets for:

• 1992–1995 Honda Civic
• 1993–1998 Honda Del Sol
• 1994–2001 Acura Integra

Developed as a first-of-its-kind billet steering knuckle solution for these Honda and Acura chassis, this design was engineered to correct suspension and steering geometry while dramatically reducing unsprung weight.

Key Design Characteristics:

This is not simply a lightweight OEM replacement. It is a purpose-engineered motorsports component designed to correct geometry, reduce unsprung weight, expand hub compatibility, and support demanding street, track, drag, and competition applications.

There we go! Damn Ball Joint was absolutely "CAKED" in there! She didn't want to come out on the account of the years of "RUST" and Tears of Many Broken Axles past. Ball joint removed the scan is totally complete now! Time to compare this model to the Billet Knuckle design to see what is different. Sunday is "Scan Day!" 88-91 Scan Complete! Modeling begins NOW! What's next?

Yesterday's progress in the shop.

We spent the day working on Mike Widman's AWD EG, getting the engine bay cleaned up and prepped for paint.

One of the coolest parts of the process was breaking out the laser cleaner to strip away old paint, contamination, and surface corrosion from the core support. It's an incredibly efficient way to get back to clean bare metal without damaging the underlying steel, giving us the perfect foundation for the next stages of the build.

Every hour spent on prep pays off in the finished product. Clean metal, solid bodywork, and attention to detail are what separate a good build from a great one.

This EG is moving one step closer to a fresh engine bay and an AWD drivetrain worthy of the chassis.

Next up in the scan is the 1991 EF Knuckle! This scan will be used to modify our existing design to make a prototype billet knuckle design for the 88-91 Civic/ CRX, 88-93 Integra.

While we are testing the 92-95 Civic, 93-98 Delsol, and 94-01 Integra knuckle design we will incoperate and assimilate the EF/DA into the newest design and create an offering for its platform as well. Within this testing, we will also collaborate with other members of the EF and DA family to find out what their needs and requirements will be from this product.
