We’re proud to be part of this year’s Commanders Cup in Herriman, Utah.

The SME family of companies had the honor of sponsoring the tournament and creating the trophy for this year’s champions. It was a meaningful project for our team, and one we were grateful to be involved in.

The Commanders Cup brings service members together through competition, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose. We’re honored to support an event that recognizes that spirit.

Best of luck to all the teams competing, and thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s tournament possible.

The tournament will be hosted at the Zions Bank Training Center. Food and beverages will be available during the final championship match on Sunday, and we’d love for you to invite your friends, family, and employees out for a fun weekend of soccer.

SME Steel and Southwest Steel are proud to have contributed to the restoration of an important piece of history at the Historic Wendover Airfield

The reconstructed World War II bomb-loading pit offers visitors a closer look at the equipment and engineering used during a pivotal moment in American history. Wendover Airfield served as the training base for the 509th Composite Group, best known for the Enola Gay and this restoration helps tell that story in a meaningful, tangible way.

Using modern scanning technology along with historical research, SME Steel and Southwest Steel helped recreate the nuclear bomb-loading cradle to match the original pit as closely as possible. It’s a unique project that reflects both the precision of today’s steel fabrication and the importance of preserving the past.

We’re honored to be part of work that combines craftsmanship, history, and purpose, and grateful for the opportunity to support the ongoing restoration of one of the most historically significant airfields of the World War II era.

The Field of Dreams Program allows one youth baseball or softball team to be the featured team of the night at every Bees homegame this season.

Participants will have their names announced by our PA announcer and will join the Bees on the field for the National Anthem!

Today all eyes are on one of our amazing projects. The beautiful Levi Stadium structure was proudly built by SME Steel Southwest Steel CoreBrace, LLC countless hours went into planning, fabricating and erecting the structure you see today.

As we are all preparing to watch one of the biggest kickoffs of the year with family and friends, we would like to recognize the eight individuals watching from inside the stadium: Mark Mundy; Phil "Bump" Helm; Eldin Young; Vern Gardner; Neal Turner; Brent Dixon; Pete Grandjean; and Kelly Frazier.

SME is fortunate to have these individuals who have helped build and strengthen our company making it what it is today.
