Well after 2 years we finally got the truck to the track. Sadly I don’t have much to show for videos. Everyone decided to let me hook first, being a new truck and first time for me driving anything close to this caliber. It gave me a chance to come back if I couldn’t get it to go. And I needed to use it lol. I made 3 attempts at it. Learned I need to come off the line harder than what I was trying. The one video I am showing is the best attempt I had. It was super close to making a pass. I just needed a little more RPM. I have some clutch noise and an issue with the guillotine. So going to go over that this week and get it ready for Weaklands.
But overall it feels great to have this thing out. I started out with a chassis and a truck bed full of parts. I put my ford body on, built a tilt body, built the motor, had the pump and injectors gone over and both made larger. Redid the hitch. And a ton of other work to get it where it is. All done by myself and my dad. So pretty proud of it even being there. Thank you to my wife, my dad, everyone who helped yesterday, the friends I compete with, and anyone else who has helped along the way. I’m determined to get this thing figured out and send it down the track!
