Something that I emphasize in my life is the DOSE method mentioned here. I cannot stress enough how important physical activity is when you work at a computer many hours of the day.

My routine:
Wake up
Hydrate
Caffeinate (not necessary)
Exercise/stretch
Catch the sunrise
Breakfast

After that I feel good for many hours. CONSISTENCY IS KEY!
