Did you know? Proper Tire Storage Matters

When your off-season tires aren't being used, how they are stored can affect their lifespan and performance.

✅Store tires upright, not stacked flat. This helps prevent shape deformation and uneven stress on the tire.

✅Keep tires in a cool, dry location. Excessive heat, direct sunlight, and moisture can accelerate rubber deterioration.

✅Avoid exposure to chemicals. Gasoline, oils, solvents, and other chemicals can damage the rubber compound.

✅Keep tires clean. Wash away dirt, road salt, and debris before storing them for the season.

✅To store tires with rims, clean them, deflate them to about half their usual pressure, and store them either stacked horizontally or place on wall racks to prevent the full weight of the assembly from resting entirely on the tire tread. Always keep them in a cool, dark, and dry indoor space

Proper storage helps preserve your tires, reduce the risk of premature cracking, and ensure they're ready to perform when it's time to put them back on your vehicle.
