Southwest Auto Recycling is hiring! Full time dismantler/parts puller/warehouse position available. Experience, good selection of tools(electric and pneumatic tools are a plus)and the ability to follow directions are a must. Pay is dependent on experience. This is not a technician job, you do not have to repair or put vehicles back together, but you should be comfortable with dismantling a complete vehicle front to back without breaking or damaging parts and must be able to do it quickly. Must be dependable and have reliable transportation. This is a full time position Mon-Fri 8am-5pm weekends off. Now accepting applications.

Automotive tip of the day:

We sold a customer a replacement v***r canister for his vehicle today. He picked it up and told me he didn’t think it was the same as his because his is a lot heavier. It’s heavier because it’s full of raw fuel. The v***r canister is made to trap fuel v***rs so they don’t escape into the environment. When you fill up your vehicle with fuel and continue pumping after the automatic nozzle shutoff engages you are overfilling your tank and running the risk of fouling the v***r canister with raw fuel. It doesn’t ev***rate and the canister has to be replaced to correct the problem. It can cost from a few hundred to over a thousand $$ to fix. Don’t top off your tank.
