Are you an experienced technician who thrives on solving complex mechanical puzzles? We are looking for a Level II Service Specialist to join the Helix RCR team. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who enjoys the independence of the field and takes pride in keeping the heart of a facility—the kitchen—running at peak performance.
Note: This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking candidates with a solid foundation in the field who can hit the ground running.
What You’ll Do
As a Level 2 Technician, you will handle more than just routine fixes. You will be the "go-to" expert for complex diagnostics and high-stakes repairs across both hot and cold sides of the kitchen.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair intricate mechanical, electrical, and gas issues on commercial ranges, fryers, steamers, coolers, freezers, and ice machines.
Precision Maintenance: Lead skilled installations and execute preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
Technical Interpretation: Use schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to navigate complex repairs efficiently.
Client Advocacy: Act as a professional consultant for restaurant, facilities and nutrition managers, providing clear status updates and long-term equipment solutions.
Mentorship: Share your expertise by guiding Level 1 technicians and setting a high standard for workmanship.
Operational Excellence: Manage your mobile inventory (truck stock), document work orders accurately, and prioritize a "safety-first" mindset.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable field experience in commercial kitchen and refrigeration repair is required.
Certification: EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
Skill Set: Strong mechanical aptitude and deep electrical knowledge. You should be a natural problem-solver who works well under pressure.
Independence: Ability to manage a demanding schedule with minimal supervision and make high-level technical decisions in the field.
Reliability: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential.
Flexibility: Our customers operate 365 days a year; you must be available for overnights, on-call rotations, weekends, and holidays.
