Writers make commissions, techs typically dont.
And when i was working in a “Stealership” i was making minimum wage ($11hr at the time-when it just reached that$11 mark)
Identifying as a l**e tech, but realistically doing the work of a classB or classC technician + mandatory 56hr work weeks. That was 2016, and even then, It was actually bs, taking home less than $500 a week looking at $500 or more repair orders a dozen times a day.
THIS IS WHY WE BECAME A SMALL BUSINESS. An opportunity to offer REALISTIC WORK at a competitive cost without the middleman (service writer) trying to sell you the stuff the technician never said you needed…

With a mission of Offering transparency, an understanding how everything works, why its important and why it needs attention now, or can wait until later.

Mechanics especially at big shops really don’t get paid their worth.
Just so everyone has something to think about when they go next time for a routine service.

One friend of ours said this:

Working as a technician at a car dealership is one of the most overrated jobs. Terrible environment. Extremely fast paced. Mediocre benefits. L**e Techs start at about $20 an hour and work hourly at 40 hours a week which is $41,600 a year. It would easily take AT LEAST 10 years even with OSHA and factory certifications to become a “certified master technician” at which you point you might be at $40 an hour FLAT RATE. So let’s say you work 5 days a week, 10 hour days, that’s 50 hours in the building but your fast and smart and you generate an average of 60 hours of billable hours that’s $124,800 BEFORE TAXES. If you walk into a dealership and there are 20 technicians maybe 3 of them make that $40+ flat rate and are “certified master techs”. And don’t even get me started on the fact that the technicians basically get no respect and the customers never get to meet their technician. It’s the guy with the GED also known as the service writer wearing a cheap suit who is made to look like the superstar in front of the customer. And when you think it’s the mechanic trying to upsell you 1 million things it’s really the service writer. your mechanic is the honest guy the service writer is the greedy snake. The only work environment worse than a car dealership repair shop is a restaurant. The people who are truly happy at car dealerships and make good money without having to kill themselves is the car salesmen. I think the main reason why automotive technicians are not well respected blue-collar tradesmen is because unfortunately it is not a licensed trade.

Our only add to that is;
You can find mechanic (legit or backyard guy) on just about any corner in Massachusetts. So it actually makes sense.

A major U.S. company is struggling to fill thousands of high-paying mechanic positions, even with salaries advertised around $120,000 a year. Ford’s CEO has repeatedly highlighted that the automaker currently has about 5,000 open mechanic jobs that remain vacant despite offering six-figure pay, warning this reflects a broader shortage of skilled trades workers across the country. He described the situation as a serious issue for the U.S. labor market and economy, stressing that technical roles require years of training and that the current workforce pipeline isn’t keeping up with demand.

Buy something on FB marketplace, looked like a steal? Great price, just what you need?
Then you discover that its a potential liability waiting to happen? Thats where we come in!
This small trailer is something we picked up because we saw potential, and then we noticed its got “broken bones” everywhere! 😱
Cracks in the frame, is the tounge even welded? And the leaf springs aren’t just weak, they’re held it with what appear to be just bent metal pins.
This is a trailer going through a transformation and will be up for sale soon enough along with 2 other trailer frames getting refurbished. Right now!
This isn’t the all we do either!
Automotive genral repairs, welding, metal fabrication, electrical work (diagnosis, repairs & replacement), customization, transportation services and much more!

As winter approaches, the detrimental effects of salt on our vehicles are well-known, and the prospect is far from appealing. We've likely all encountered advertisements for rust prevention and undercoating, but what if these measures weren't taken? Many might consider parting with their trusted vehicle due to concerns about its integrity. However, there may be an alternative. Take, for instance, a recent project that walked through our doors - a classic Toyota Tacoma that appeared well-maintained at first glance. Unfortunately, its frame had succumbed to rust, raising significant safety concerns. Fortunately, local manufacturers produce frame sectional replacements that can restore the vehicle's structural integrity, often at a more affordable cost than expected. If you're worried about the condition of your full-frame vehicle or trailer, don't rush to retire it just yet. Let our team assess its condition. Frame repair remains a viable option. Schedule a consultation today.

touching story:
Transporters/Truckers put sacrifices on the line every day. Everything from operating under the nastiest of weather conditions, to leaving their loved ones alone at home for extended periods of time, to difficult or dangerous roads.
All & none, they make the infrastructure of anything you can think of stay in tune moving in unison, get the groceries to the stores, fuel to your local gas stations & much, much more.
lets not forget unique public services like helping first responders
and in this case, made 13 of them sure that someone made it home one more night and a gentle reminder that there are people do care about you, there are still people out there with big hearts who care!
It's just some of us are always on the road.

Thirteen truckers got a call at 1 a.m.: "Park your trucks under a bridge and don't move." They didn't ask why. They just came.
It was after midnight on April 24, 2018, when Michigan State Police received a call that stopped Lt. Mike Shaw's heart: a woman was standing on the edge of a bridge over Interstate 696 in Detroit, contemplating the unthinkable.
The freeway below was dark. The drop was fatal. And Shaw had minutes to make a decision.
He grabbed his radio and did something that had never been done before.
He called the truckers.
Within minutes, headlights pierced the darkness. One by one, thirteen semi-trucks rolled into position across every lane of the highway, parking side by side, forming a wall of steel and hope beneath the bridge.
They created a safety net—not of rope or fabric, but of 80,000 pounds of compassion, repeated thirteen times.
For nearly four hours, negotiators spoke gently from above while engines rumbled steadily below. The truckers didn't know her name. Didn't know her story. Didn't know if their sacrifice would matter.
They simply refused to leave.
As dawn began to break, something shifted. The woman stepped back from the edge. Officers guided her to safety, wrapping her not just in blankets, but in the knowledge that thirteen strangers had spent their night refusing to let her fall.
One by one, the trucks pulled away, disappearing into the morning light like quiet guardians whose work was done.
When an aerial photo of that moment appeared online—thirteen trucks parked in perfect formation, a geometric act of love—it spread across the world.
Lt. Shaw later said: "They didn't do it for recognition. They didn't do it for thanks. They did it because it was the right thing to do."
That night, a highway became holy ground. Thirteen truckers turned their rigs into a cathedral of second chances.
And somewhere in Detroit, a woman woke up to another sunrise—because strangers who drive for a living decided that some deliveries matter more than others.
The most important cargo isn't what you're hauling. It's who you're willing to stop for.
