For manufacturers of complex machined metal parts, the push to produce smaller components has never been greater. But what does that mean for inspectors? 🤔

Inspectors need reliable inspection solutions that can easily access narrow channels and small spaces. While traditional probes can reach these confined areas and identify imperfections, they often provide limited actionable data beyond visualization.

In a recent article featured in Fabricating & Metalworking, we cover how the IPLEX™ One RVI platform helps inspectors capture actionable data in small, restricted-space environments.

Getting inconsistent thickness readings?

It might not be your gauge.

Even experienced inspectors run into accuracy issues when small variables are missed—and those errors can add up fast.

Things like surface condition, temperature, or probe setup can all impact your results more than you think.

If you’re using ultrasonic thickness gauges in your inspections, this is a helpful read to keep on hand.

The aerospace industry is constantly evolving, and inspectors need solutions that can adapt to changing demands.

In a recent article featured in the May issue of Advanced Materials & Processes Magazine, Evident’s Global Director of NDT Application & Market Development, Angélique Raude, discusses how portable PAUT platforms, such as Evident’s OmniScan™ X4 phased array flaw detector, are helping inspectors achieve more data-driven, adaptable workflows to keep pace with the evolving aerospace industry.

Time is critical in aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). When an aircraft is out of service and awaiting inspection, every second counts.

One of the most time-consuming challenges inspectors face is having to withdraw a borescope to change an optical adapter.

With IPLEX™ One’s Swoptix™ technology, that challenge is eliminated. Swoptix allows inspectors to instantly switch tips without removing the scope, reducing inspection time.

Discover how Swoptix helps make aviation inspections more efficient in our blog: https://ow.ly/xCzt50YOKmC

Ever wonder how inspections get done in places where giant lab equipment just can’t go?

Not so long ago, advanced weld inspections meant hauling bulky gear into the field—or, more often, bringing test pieces back to the lab. That took time and meant waiting for results.

Things are changing thanks to new portable PAUT technology with 128:128PR capability, inspectors can now bring high-powered tools straight to the job site. No more compromises or delays.

Why does that matter? It means safer outcomes, faster answers, and the freedom to solve challenging inspection problems, wherever they pop up. Imagine checking complex welds right where they’re made, without sacrificing data quality or missing a beat.
