After 99 incredible years of serving this region—from our beginnings in Rockford to our move to Genoa—we have some important news to share.

Tobinson’s Ace Hardware has officially entered our final six months as store owners. This place has been so much more than a store to us — it’s been a home, a gathering place, and a part of generations of families here in our town. For five generations, the Tobinson family has loved serving this community, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue that legacy.

Carolyn is looking forward to a well-deserved retirement, and while we are excited for her next chapter, this transition comes with many unknowns. At this time, we are unsure what the future holds for this location — whether it will continue as an Ace Hardware or become something new.

What we do know is this: we are incredibly grateful. Your support, loyalty, and kindness over the years have meant more to us than words can express. You’ve allowed us to be part of your homes, your projects, and your lives — and that is something we will always cherish.

We will continue to share updates here as we get closer to our final days, so please stay tuned.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our story.
