Plant-based gummies are no longer only a formulation discussion.
They are increasingly a process stability discussion.
A pectin gummy may look simple in the final product, but the gummy manufacturing process behind it can be sensitive to hydration, viscosity, acid timing, pH balance, temperature, and drying conditions.
Many vegan gummy and vegan gummy vitamins formulations work well in pilot batches. Continuous production is where stability becomes harder to maintain.
Transfer flow, depositing consistency, drying response, and batch-to-batch texture control all start affecting final product quality during scale-up.
From a gummy production line manufacturer's perspective, this is where equipment design starts to matter. Not because automation alone solves the problem, but because heating control, dosing timing, transfer stability, depositing accuracy, and drying coordination all affect whether the formula can stay within a workable processing window over longer runs.
That is why I usually look less at generic automation claims and more at whether the gummy production process can remain stable during real production.
