New Wastewater Treatment System Delivered in Salt Lake City! 🚚💧

We’re excited to share the arrival of a new industrial wastewater treatment system we provided for a building materials manufacturer right here in Salt Lake City, Utah!

This system is designed to remove heavy metals and total suspended solids (TSS) from their process water — helping the customer stay environmentally compliant with local discharge requirements. 🌎♻️

Today, IWT is installing a high load, high flow industrial wastewater filter on one of our client wastewater treatment system. This filter is being placed before a DAF as a prefiltration step to reduce particulate loading on the DAF, helping it operate and treat more effectively.

The Preceptor Solids Interceptor is newly redesigned. It is an solids interceptor engineered to remove food and other solids for kitchen wastewater. It consists of a body, lid, filter insert assembly, and adjustable stainless steel stand. (Small foot print)

Drinking water systems are one of our specialties. From filtration to ion exchange all the way down to chlorination, we offer intuitive, innovative water solutions to treat, clean and disinfection drinking water applications. This arsenic removal system was installed and commissioned last week. The system consists of flow paced chlorination dosing to oxidize the contaminants, mixing, dechlorination through automatic backwashing activated carbon beds and then through an anionic ion exchange treatment train. The pictured system was a fast return on investment, low maintenance upgrade to an existing removal system that was high maintenance and had expensive disposal costs. We scoped this application through diligent testing to verify the feasibility of the proposed treatment technologies.

We are treating and composite sampling industrial wastewater today! This system was installed 4 months ago and is running like a dream. Our awesome customer needed a system to address Total Suspended Solids (TSS) in their industrial process wastewater. They needed a system that would run automatically and reliably with minimal staff intervention. It was sized to flexibly address their current and future work load through our project scoping process of data collection and testing. Since commissioning, this system has successfully treated a process flow of 1600 gallons per day at 4.1% Raw Solid Content by weight. The treated wastewater is filtered to .5 micron and has shown a massive reduction of TSS, averaging 4 mg/L and is producing a 53% dry solid for disposal.

As you can see, industrial wastewater treatment gets our blood pumping! We love seeing the results as well as our client's faces when you take some pretty nasty looking water and make it clean. It gives us a great feeling knowing we are assisting our customers in increasing profits and growth all while being environmentally responsible.
