This is a trailer repair that honestly took a lot longer than anticipated unfortunately. I am okay with that though because it was done properly. There were a ton of broken welds to find as I took it apart to start my repair. The pins for the tilt system aren't too bad, but at the same time a pain when you do it right and precisely accurate making everything work and hold properly. There were cracks, bends and it would not latch properly with one person as it should. We removed the plate that was broke(bent) to fit around the framing and hold the pin because it was damaged and not structurally sound for the trailer in the first place. Cut out and fit heavy walled square tubing in its place, fixing and reinforcing it an immaculate amount, which also allowed us to now close it and latch it with one person like it should. Check out the next post for a video of the finished product.
