Thunderhead Testing offers all aspects of technical support for public and private sectors, from small businesses to international corporations. Thunderhead Testing has been in business since 2000 as a consulting firm. From 2000 to 2005, technical writing and pavement performance database managemen
t were the primary areas of engagement. In 2006, upon relocation to Tulsa, OK, the primary client was SemMaterials, LLC. As a consultant to SemMaterials, Thunderhead prepared and conducted training courses related to asphalt materials and construction, prepared technical documents for marketing purposes and wrote technical papers for publication and presentation. Other engagements included development of materials for web-based training, marketing, and industry information. November 1, 2010 Thunderhead opened its first full-service asphalt and aggregate materials testing laboratory. With a wide range of testing capabilities, Thunderhead can both meet the day to day needs of QC testing and mix design as well as conducting research in both aggregate and asphalt mixture fields.
