Congratulations to our friends on their GRAND opening today ☕️✨ We met the team while working on another mural in and were happy to help them get their logo up (with a little extra design ☕️ 🙌🏻) on their building facade.

Community matters. And we love spaces like that are meant for community… and incredible caffeine fixes and sweet treats 😎 Go check them out!

Throwing it back to a bright and beautiful week with Ashley River Creative Arts Elementary School in Charleston! 🌈🦄🎨☀️ We were thrilled to be onsite completing a mural with 3rd and 5th graders in celebration of the school’s 40th Anniversary! 🥳 The final mural included nods to all of the creative arts, Charleston landmarks and of course, the school’s mascot – the unicorn!

Olivia, the lead art teacher said about the residency “The kids absolutely LOVED it. It was so cool and meaningful for them to paint outside with a professional artist. It was awesome!” ❤️

Thanks for having us, ARCA – we hope to be back again soon!!

Blank Canvas is HIRING! 😎 Our team is growing and we’re looking for a talented, passionate, community-driven individual to join our team as a Junior Muralist.

This is an entry-level, part time role that offers a minimum of 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

The Junior Muralist will support all aspects of Blank Canvas – from inventory, to job site prep, to supporting the creation of public murals and engagement with clients, students and community members. 🤍

When the professional photos hit your inbox 🙌🏻 We always love working with the team , so when they called about a new project .. we were so there!

This two part project included a “Dog Spa” mural — complete with illustrations of the team’s ACTUAL pups, Chandler, Bandit & Chance — and a “Date Night” mural inspired by the lowcountry marshes. 🐶🐾🐕☀️🍃💦

Some clients come to us with a few ideas, some with none. And then some clients come to us with a VISION. Colleen from did not disappoint in terms of vision! (Side note: we love ALL types of clients!!)

As the owner of this beautiful wedding venue, Colleen wanted to transform the back building that is used for the bride’s room, bathrooms and kitchen. And she wanted it to resemble the City of Edinburgh.

It was a blast bringing to life landmarks such as the Royal Scots Greys monument, the Stewart Castle and a quaint gardeners cottage. We topped off the ceiling with seagulls & Colleen’s team finished the space with elegant black wainscoting.

Huge shoutout to for his craftsmanship on this mural. Thank you for having us, — we hope couples and their families will enjoy this space for years to come. 💍💗🏰🕊️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Crisp & bright like a perfect spring day 😎 When asked us to help add their logo to the side of their repaired building, we knew we wanted to make it happen! We met the owners during our time spent in last year and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support their reopening. 🚲💙

The start to 2025 has been OUT of this WORLD with this special mural residency at Charles Pinckney Elementary! We’re so grateful to be back for another trip around the sun with ☄️🚀🪐 These talented scholars did their own research into the solar system and created drawings in response to a variety of prompts. And then they got to work bringing those drawings to life this past week with paint 🤩

As Tara, the school’s STEAM Instructor said, “We’re all having a BLAST!” ⚡️✨🚀💥

This year, we have been fortunate to experience life through art-making in various communities across the country. A thousand tiny, little, magical, moments, strung together to make a year. 💫

Through every unique project, one thing always remained true – every person’s story is valuable. And every person wants to tell their story.

As we embark on the holiday season and a brand-new year, I invite you to hear someone else’s story. Show them kindness, make eye contact, give them warmth with your smile. Share your humanity. 🤍

Because in the end, how we treat one another – is all that really matters.

Thank you for treating me with kindness and respect this year. Thank you for providing space in your life for the art we make.

Hey y’all 😎 Did you know it’s a good day to have a good day? Let’s get after it.

Each letter contains a different illustration — each created with intention and supported by community research — of something meaningful to this beautiful city.

It was such a special one for us. We love any opportunity we’re given to create art in collaboration with others, while telling the story of a place we love. 💚
