Testing completed and disassembly underway. The mast is now ready to be seperated from the boat. Once on the ground the remaining equipment which was left mounted for safety reasons will be carefully removed and placed in storage during the work. Now we are moving on to pulling all the exterior wiring out of the way & disassembling electrical and electronics equipment on the vessel.

*We also were able to watch some cool C-130 aircraft practicing take off and landing for a good portion of the day, see the last picture!*

We don’t just service recreational boats, we also spend a great deal of time servicing commercial and government vessels. Ensuring systems are in fully functional states & ready to perform at a moments notice. The USCG Cutter Melvin Bell is in for some maintenance. During this service period we are performing operational tests of all exterior electrical & electronics, once completed we are removing all equipment and wiring. The vessel will be sand blasted and repainted. Once completed we will rewire the vessel and perform post repair operational testing to ensure every piece of equipment is fully functional. Stay tuned for the progression of this job.

Just wrapped up this lithium upgrade on a new sailboat. The owner of this boat was having issues getting the batteries through the night while on the mooring & running the items needed. We came in and designed a system that operated within the existing space but drastically improved the functionality. The upgrade included 3x Epoch Batteries LiFePO4 300ah batteries, an Arco Zeus regulator, a Balmar alternator & some Victron Energy B.V. Charging & monitoring components. With this new system not only does it significantly increase the usable capacity but it also offer much more in depth data for monitoring and control. No matter where you may be or what work you need done we can help accomplish your goals. This vessel experienced a lightning lighting strike down in Savannah GA. With short notice & a desire to get out of Georgia before it happens again they enlisted our assistance to get the vessel critical navigation systems & safety systems back online. Replacement included new B&G Zeus Plotter, Hercules Sailing Processor, Rudder feedback units, a replacement of the wind wand pcb and a new alarm module. There’s still work to be done but the remaining will be completed in Newport now that the boat is operational again.

We shipped off to Boston today to perform some upgrades on a Beneteau power boat. The upgrades consisted of adding a fan into one of the cabins, installing a new weather / audio module for the Garmin Marine electronics system & updating the software on the electronics. We also linked the module to the Garmin Audio stereo to be able to enjoy all the features of the new equipment. Check out the size of the car hauler which motored past the marina while we were there!

Here’s a few projects we have been working on the last few weeks. A few Garmin Marine electronics upgrades, some Simrad Yachting chart plotter & radar installations. Wrapped up a Garmin Audio Fusion install & Starlink system install on a Hunt Yachts. Completed some wiring improvements on a few Beals & performed upgrades / additions of the B&G system on a nice Swan. Stay tuned for some cool electronics installs over the next few weeks!
