Okay so, there are way more than 5 things here.
But like I keep seeing real estate agents MISSING IT. Now is the time to get to the bag. Esther said “for such a time as this”
Grab your notebook because I’m Expanding on a few:
Facebook:
1. If you’re not on Facebook as a I don’t know where you are. Even if the properties you list attract people who don’t qualify - you still gain leads!
2. Facebook boosting can cost you as little as $5.
3. Look for questions being asked on answer the public

Instagram:
1. Reels are taking off - and we love us some real estate p**n and by we, I mean me.
2. DMs are just the newest version of cold calls.

Your website:
1. Please have a website. Please make it easy to find you.
2. Create content from answering the questions on answerthepublic.com

Old school:
1. I’m from the generation where we used to hang flyers at the local quick check for babysitting services. Ground marketing still works.
2. You need to leave your computer, desk - spend 30% of your time out in the community.

Customer service:
1. I can’t stress the importance of the follow up and follow through for your clients. They want to feel like family. (especially during the pandemic)
2. Pay attention - don't just get on these calls to educate, ask the right questions and educate after actively listening to the answers.

In 2020, I read 72 books. I’m obsessed with reading.
‘Self help’ or ‘personal development’ books can be dense, and frequently hard to get through.
Skip The Line was NOT that. In fact, it was the total opposite. Filled with practical advice (you know I love a good takeaway) and incredible background into different domains
This is an easy read that's full of advice for the aspiring entrepreneur.
Key takeaways:
📌 master the 1 Percent Rule. Understanding this principle shows how with a tiny effort every day, you can develop the tools needed to quickly become among the best in the world in any field you want.
📌build microskills - Whatever you are interested in, break out a notebook and list at least ten microskills needed for success in that field
📌 Give People Power to Decide
People don’t like being told what to do. So don’t tell anyone what to do. Instead, give them the freedom to decide.

But Skip the Line isn’t about hacks and shortcuts — it’s about transforming the way you think, work, and live, letting your interests guide your learning, time, and resources. It’s about allowing yourself to do what comes naturally; the more you do what you love, the better you do it.

Scarcity breeds innovation.
It’s a concept that has been discussed for many years but if you look around we’re in a place of lack and this is the perfect time to Foster creativity.
There are several issues facing our country currently: find a solution to them, and I would imagine you’d have a great business venture.
Here are some of the issues I’ve identified within the last 24 hours:
-there is a meat shortage (vegetarian chefs, I’m talking to you!)
-students have nothing to do besides be on a screen- have you been thinking about writing a children’s book?
-people are drinking more liquor, wine and beer than ever before - do you have a low cost, fun, community based product that involves alcohol?
Providing solutions to problems is how many of the great companies were born.
What issues have you seen come from this ?

if you do any form of creating use this time to teach others.

engaging in creative activities contributes to an upward spiral of positive emotions and psychological well-being.
The very best way to build a business is to find a problem (there’s a large population of people who are down and out right now) and provide a solution (teach them to tap into their )

This quote from ‘101 essays to make you think’ by jumped tf out at me last night.
Specifically the line about ‘the courage with which you live your own’
Tomorrow, next week and even two hours from now is not/never guaranteed. Don’t be afraid to live your life today, in this moment. Don’t be afraid to be completely and utterly yourself. Find the courage to live a life that encourages others to do the same ❤️

Most of the time more is learned from listening than from talking. I am a consultant, I get paid to talk, to tell people what they can do differently to improve their business but sometimes if I ask the right questions I get answers like these.
Raj is the man and I’m grateful I am walking this path in life to meet incredible humans who have so much wisdom and life experience. Raj also told me to become a venture capitalist 😭
I’m just out here trying to humanize the business experience with real life connections. ❤️

“That can be put off til tomorrow”
“I’ll start on Monday”
“I’ll do that next time I’m in (insert city you’re traveling to)”
“I’ll wake up early tomorrow”
“I’ll start January 1st”
Fear loves procrastination. I read once that “procrastination is the arrogant assumption that god will give you another chance in the future to do something he called you to today”
We are here temporarily. how will you spend your time?

Hi, it’s me, an ‘overdeliverer’- that’s not a word but I made it one. In general people respect those that do what they say they’re going to do; BUT being exceptional in your work requires over delivery. Want to be remembered? Want to create loyalty? Over👏deliver👏
What does overdelivering look like?
✨ sending a thank you note to your client- they chose to work with you
✨ if they ask for 3 tips- send them 5
✨make every interaction personal. If they’ve mentioned they just had a grandchild, “how’s the grand baby doing?”
✨if they mention something outside of the scope of your work- send them an article the next day of the topic in which they mentioned.
✨ if they need it done by 3:00 PM send it by 2:30
✨alert them of pros and cons/ wins and losses prior to starting the project - proving you to be proactive rather than reactive.
It doesn’t take much; just one additional step more than you were originally going to do. ❤️

Yesterday while in a meeting with my clients to discuss marketing initiatives, 2 women from a fitness franchise walked in to talk about partnering and to offer a free class.
The conversation continues and my clients mention that they’ve partnered with another fitness brand in the past.
“Oh, I can’t stand (insert competitor here) they’re equipment is horrible and the instructors aren’t any better”
If you could see my face. So please tell me, if for instance you don’t like my clients business - will you Also speak badly about them when ‘marketing’? Does your very well known franchise need to put down others in order to get ahead?
From my experience those that are actually the best at what they do - never have to say they’re the best at what they do
As a consultant you see this often.
As a human you see this often.
There’s enough room for us all to win.
Consultants, coaches - make sure you are working with clients that uphold your values. This is KEY. Your clients represent you just as much as you represent them.
