Our DDS teams in Sulphur, LA and Groves, Texas, recently participated in Man Overboard "MOB" training led by Southern Devall EVP/HSSE Carlin Chapman which focused on keeping our technicians safe while performing repairs on and around the water.
Continued training helps our people stay prepared and ready to work safely wherever the job takes them.

Devall Diesel Services General Manager David Devall and Southern Devall EVP & General Manager Mikey Devall recently attended the 2026 North American Marine Dealer Meeting, where John Deere unveiled its next generation of marine power—the JD14 and JD18 engines.

As one of the largest John Deere dealers on the Gulf Coast, DDS is proud to bring this next generation of horsepower, technology, efficiency, and reliability to our marine customers.

Since 1968, Southern Devall and Westlake (formerly PPG) have built a partnership rooted in trust, performance, and shared values.

We’re proud to celebrate the completion of the WCAO 2600, a project made possible through the collaboration of Westlake Corporation, Vessel Repair, Southern Devall, and Devall Diesel Services. The vessel features a custom FPT barge power pack supplied by Devall Diesel, helping ensure reliable and efficient operations on America’s waterways.

What makes this partnership especially meaningful is the multi-generational relationships that continue to connect our organizations. Together, we remain committed to safe, dependable barge transportation and the high standards of quality and craftsmanship that have defined our work for decades.
