Last week, we took some time to recognize our Stockton Steel shop employees with a safety celebration BBQ.
Our shop teams put safety into practice every day, while doing demanding, hands-on work, and this was an opportunity to thank them for their continued commitment to working safely and looking out for one another.
The celebration included lunch, time together as a team, and a raffle.
Thank you to everyone in the Stockton Steel shop for the work you do every day, and for continuing to make safety a priority

We are proud to congratulate Nolan Person, CPA, CCIFP, Corporate Controller at The Herrick Corporation, on his selection as one of CFMA’s 2026 Rising Stars.

The Construction Financial Management Association’s Rising Stars program recognizes emerging leaders who make a meaningful impact within their companies and across the construction industry.
This honor reflects the leadership qualities we value at Herrick: strong relationships, continuous learning, and an understanding that our work extends beyond the numbers.

As Nolan shared with CFMA:
“Invest in relationships, remain open to learning, and look beyond the numbers—our greatest impact comes from helping people and organizations succeed.”

Congratulations, Nolan, on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for representing Herrick as part of the next generation of construction industry leaders.

We’re proud to share that the Samuel Merritt University project has received the ASCE Golden Gate Branch Outstanding Architectural Engineering Project Award!

The project will now advance to the San Francisco awards, with hopes of progressing to the regional level. A special thank-you to our project partners for the opportunity to contribute to this remarkable building.
We’re also pleased to share some construction photography and video by Remote Optix, showcasing the steel and BRB mast framing before it was enclosed by the building’s exterior.

Congratulations to everyone involved!

Steel is more than structure; it is the framework for what comes next.

At the County of San Joaquin, CA Be Well Campus topping out ceremony, Herrick brought together project partners and community members to celebrate an important construction milestone.

As the first structure of a multi-building complex, this marks meaningful progress toward expanded wellness and care resources for the region. We are proud to contribute our steel expertise to a facility that will have a lasting impact on the community.
