Mobile Mechanic
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position of a Mobile Mechanic requires the highest level of customer service at all times.
Will need to have working knowledge to repair a wide range of forklifts, tractors, generators and other similar equipment. Including, operation, application, capabilities and limitations of this equipment and overall safety requirement of this equipment.
One of the job duties include managing inventory on your mobile service van.
It is also required to have good working knowledge of a variety of hand tools.
Work is often physically demanding and may occur in noisy surroundings. Mechanic should have strong attention to detail, physical strength, customer service and problem-solving skills, dexterity, and the ability to use troubleshooting software, complex diagnostic equipment.
Must have your own hand tools.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Provide excellent customer service to each customer you come in contact with.
*Ability to identify equipment by various names and provide relative information.
*Knowledge of routine maintenance and trouble-shooting are requirements of all equipment.
*Know the operation of equipment as to its application, capabilities, limitations, starting, stopping, servicing, correct loading and safety issues.
*Clean equipment after or before equipment delivery back to customer.
*Follow service procedures for each item on documentation.
*Thoroughly test equipment for proper operation. Return equipment to proper working condition.
*Must always be willing to work with in company policies and all department procedures and follow them.
*Keep work area clean and orderly, with daily cleaning of your work space.
*Be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
*Always have and maintain a strong work ethic.
*Be at work when on time and when scheduled. Attendance is very important.
*Perform all duties expected and utilizing time in a productive manner.
*Perform any other duties required or requested for the good of the team and/or the good of the Company.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods of time.
Able to climb stairs and ladders.
Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds above shoulder level without assistance.
Able to push and pull heavy loads – 50 pound minimum
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent customer service skills.
Mechanical aptitude on a variety of equipment.
Basic engine servicing skills.
Average math skills.
Ability to read write and articulate yourself.
Clean DMV record.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Working knowledge of a wide range of equipment and it's operation.
Basic mechanical knowledge of engines, basic mechanics and hydraulics.
Equipment trouble-shooting knowledge.
Must speak clearly and write legibly in English; must also have full comprehension of the English language.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
