Shout out to Zachary Khambata ! My man killed it at Red Wings. He ran a roasted mushroom special with Shenandoah Mushroom Co Blue Oysters and it made my heart happy seeing it sold out before day 3 even kicked off! Love seeing the response from the customers and getting to hear about how everyone enjoyed everything. Excited to be working with more vendors next year and spreading mush love throughout this great event!

It's hard to believe all of the progress, laughs, first experiences, that happen in August considering how quickly it turned into September.

Finally led my first guided foray. I could not have asked for a better group for my first trip. So thankful for Richard Jefferson for reaching out for the trip and for the amazing gift he brought me. A 3D Printed Mushroom themed traveling chess set(it rolling into a 🪵 log to carry the pieces!

Finished some much needed production equipment upgrades, found some amazing help for the farmers market (she helped with every stop of the process). Thank you for being the best and helping so enthusiastically with any task I threw at you!

Originally found the Wild oysters in the first picture in April. Cloned them (multiple samples) now I'm finally getting my first flush in captivity! Visually similar to the commercial Elm Oyster(Popham Elm) I'm currently running, comparison in the last picture. But also distinctly different.

Domesticating wild cultures is always fun, The wait to see what genetic expressions show up, noticing the subtle details differing from other cultures of the same species running side by side.

Currently labeled "lil TG OY A" (Thornton Gap Oyster), hoping it ends up being a consistent producer. Time to start settling on a name 🤔...Any suggestions?
