MOMA hosts an annual state pool and dart competition which attracts competitive players from across the state. The Minnesota Operators of Music and Amusements (MOMA) was originally organized as the Music Operators of Minnesota (MOM) in 1967 and incorporated in 1969. The change to the more appropriate current name, MOMA, took place in 1984. It is the state trade association for the coin & currency
activated amusement industry. The association was formed to foster the interests of those engaged in the operation and the distribution of coin & currency activated phonographs, amusement games and other coin operated equipment. The current, active members in the organization represent all geographic areas of the state. MOMA members serve on-sale liquor establishments, restaurants, bowling alleys, family entertainment centers, hotels and motels, colleges and universities, resorts and camp ground sites. MOMA is dedicated to the bringing together of those persons who are in the coin & currency activated amusement industry for mutual social and business interests. Among its members, it promotes higher business and ethical standards and better business methods by the encouraging of cooperation between members of the industry.
