Today I’m very appreciative for the years of training to be an electrician. At times the apprenticeship was so trying I wanted to quit. ⚠️

The reality is that everything I have done since has all stemmed from completing that apprenticeship. 🎉

Now I get to contribute those skills and knowledge towards installing new light fixtures to shine light on these beautiful reclaimed materials at Renew Salvage…pun intended:) 🔨

Come on down Friday from 10 AM-6 PMor weekdays from 4 PM-5:30 PM. You can find us at 234 Elliot Street, Brattleboro, Vermont.

We hope to see you soon! 💡⚡

Thanks,

The doors are open!!! Stop by 234 Elliott Street in Brattleboro to see what’s going on. It’s a soft opening. Lighting is being finished and things are actively moving in.

This is where the work starts.🔨

Open up a wall or pull back a floor and you'll find what's really there — rot, water damage, materials that have run their course. Most of it goes unseen until someone looks.

That's exactly the point. Knowing what you're working with changes everything. It's what allows us to decide what's worth saving, what needs to go, and how to move forward without wasting what doesn't have to be wasted.🏘️

Less extraction. Less dependency on new materials. More of what's already there, put back to use.🌍

There is something grounding about knowing exactly where your water comes from.

This spring on Woodford Mountain is where I get my drinking water. Clean, free-flowing, and available year-round. It is something I never take for granted.

Access to safe, drinkable water is one of our most basic needs, yet many systems today make us dependent on complex infrastructure and distant resources.

At Reclaimed Materials Resource Management, we are thinking about how our built environment can better support the essentials, including water, air, and shelter, in ways that are more connected to place.

This is a small moment, but an important reminder of what is possible when we pay attention to the resources around us.

This is the work in practice.

Materials recovered. Costs reduced. Resources kept local. Every number here is something that didn't end up in a landfill.

There's more to build - but this is the start.

Built different. 🏗

Saved materials. Real work. New life.🏠

This is what it looks like when you choose reuse over waste.♻️
