We went in hoping to change sand, but on inspection we noticed a hairline crack near the top dome and with the age of the filter being 18 years old we felt comfortable upgrading the entire filter. Our client will now be able to save on those expensive chemicals this summer!

We chose to replace the Hayward top mount sand filter with a Pentair cartridge filter. The pump holds its prime now. The motor will last much longer and they will not have to replace their dry well for back washing. Money saved $$
