The RIDGID® SeekTech® ST-305 and ST-305R can transmit two frequencies at the same time. Why is that? It is a good way to diagnose a difficult locate or compare results at two frequencies.

When directly connected to the utility, a long press on the frequency key will access the expanded frequency modes. Short presses of the frequency key cycle through the dual-frequency options: 33 kHz and 1 kHz, or 33 kHz and 8 kHz. The LEDs for both frequencies will light up when a dual-frequency option is selected. A long press of the frequency key gets you back to normal frequency mode.

When doing a pipe inspection, you want to give the customer the best view of the issue they have in their pipe. One way to do this is to pull the camera backward a bit. The video image is most stable and clear when moving the push cable backward in the pipe. When you have found an area of interest in the pipe (a "visitor," in this case), push the camera beyond it and then pull it back. This way, the push cable and camera spring are relaxed and the image is improved.
