Four more calls off the bench this week. These all feature shotshell head inset into the face of the call and leather lanyards. Some cool stuff here. These are not up on my Etsy store yet, but if you have to have one now, you can order one of these by calling the office at 909-887-3444.

Couple of beauties…. Quail calls from mountain mahogany and chemise burl.

Here are a bunch of relatively new quail calls that are available now (and would make great Christmas gifts). Only a couple are up on my Etsy store right now. So, if you want one of these, you should probably just call and order over the phone (909-887-3444).

Don't forget your quail call for tomorrow's open day quail hunt here in California. Good luck out there everyone.

I don't get an opportunity to post one of my two-way quail calls as "for sale" very often. Most are made to order or sold as soon as they go up on my social media. This is an amazing call with both a rubber band chamber portion for valley, Gambel's, and scaled quail and a whistle portion for mountain and Mearn's quail. It is made with richly-grained, field-collected mountain mahogany and has a Texas walnut cap for the whistle portion of the call. This call is available now on my Etsy store at this direct link: https://jimmatthewscalls.etsy.com

This is a cool trio of "stick" quail calls made from field-collected mountain mahogany. Each of the wood pieces used for these three calls had worm holes that were filled with powdered brass. All three have great sounds and will serve a valley, Gambel's, or scaled quail hunter for a lifetime (or two). These calls are from my Heirloom line and normally would sell for $110, plus $15 for shipping, for a $125 total. From now until Thursday, Oct. 8, they are $80 each, which will include shipping. Call 909-887-3444 to order. After Oct. 8, they will be available at the regular price on my Etsy store.

Small but with a great sound. This quail call design has been one of my favorite because it is small but doesn't sacrifice sound quality. I just added four of these to inventory. They are all walnut and have a lanyard hole and a split ring is included for use on any lanyard. They are on my Etsy store now at this direct link: https://jimmatthewscalls.etsy.com

I happen to think this is the coolest call lanyard available on the market today. From the mind of my brother-in-law RG Fann, he's made this lanyard with leather lacing and two .410 shotshell heads. Look at the photos. They are available on my Etsy store: jimmatthewscalls.etsy.com
