Honestly, I thought I’d never outdo my first double digit bass. My 10.2 pounder from Mother’s Day 2018 at Lake Amistad is very near and dear to my heart but today, she got put down a notch... I finally hooked another one but this time at Lake O.H. Ivie. Caught this 11.4lb beauty and to say it almost made me stroke out is an understatement! When I felt my line get heavy, I set the hook and started reeling. I knew it was a decent one but when she jumped out of the water, my jaw dropped and then came the shakes! I was so scared she was gonna brake my line and I’d lose her but Kenneth helped me keep my cool so I could finally wrangle her in. Took some photos then let her go back home. So fun! 🎣
