Got the Peterson DWS up and running tonight. Had the chance to mill a very special maple tree from my parents house where I spent the first 25 years of my life. It was the tree next to the kitchen shaded the porch and most the back yard with its giant canopy. It seen a lot and would have some stories to tell if it could talk. Unfortunately it was time for it to go but these slabs will go to good use and the memories will live on. Slabs were 15’ and some topped 43” wide.

Some things are too good not to share… here is a picture of a Christmas gift I received from my parents. It was one of the first slabs I ever milled back in 2019. This is curly rainbow tulip poplar.

This is a great example of what anyone can do if you choose to have your logs processed. You just never know what your going to find inside.
