5/18/26 Fishing Report!

Fishing conditions look solid today around St. Pete! Snook and redfish have been active around mangroves and docks, while trout are feeding over the grass flats. Mackerel action has stayed decent near the passes and bridges, and tarpon are showing up in good numbers in the passes with more fish starting to cruise the beaches. 🐟🌴

Live shrimp, pinfish, cut bait, and soft plastics are all good choices today. The outgoing tide this afternoon should help fire the bite up, with the best action expected as the water starts moving before sunset. 🌊

There’s still a slight chance of scattered showers later, but nothing that should keep you off the water! 🎣

🎣 Rest of Today’s Fishing Report 🎣

The afternoon bite should stay steady around the bay with snook, redfish, and trout feeding near mangroves, docks, and grass flats. Spanish mackerel are still active near the passes, and there’s a chance of seeing tarpon cruising the beaches late this evening. Live shrimp, fiddler crabs, and soft plastics have all been producing good action as the sun starts to drop. Expect the bite to pick up heading into sunset! 🌅🐟
