We had such a great time helping distribute food yesterday River City Food Bank in midtown!

Yesterday, River City Food Bank welcomed volunteers from MatriScope Engineering Laboratories, Inc. into our Midtown distribution site! Because of amazing groups like Matriscope, RCFB is able to continue distributing healthy food to our neighbors in need. We are grateful for their help and support!

In honor of Women in Construction Week, we are proud to celebrate our Laboratory Supervisor, Soussan Naderi. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, you can almost always find Soussan in our lab preparing and performing tests on soils, concrete, rebar, and more.

Did you know that women currently occupy less than 3% of construction trade jobs nationally? Women like Soussan are working hard to change that statistic and pave the way for more women to confidently join the construction industry. We are so grateful to have her on our team!

We had a great time at this year's DBIA Sacramento Golf Tournament, newly named the Sacramento DBIA Marti Martin Memorial Golf Tournament.

Our team served up some delicious Bloody Mary's to help support golfers and the event. Thank you DBIA Western Pacific Region for putting on such a great tournament! Give us a thumbs up if you were there on Monday!

We are very excited to welcome Ken Harms to the United Engineering Resources (UER) group of companies as Senior Vice President of Business Development & Corporate Strategy.

Ken comes to UER with more than 35 years of experience in the built environment having most recently served as a senior executive responsible for developing client relations, executing strategic business initiatives, and meeting annual sales goals. Ken’s extensive experience developing sustainable relationships within the construction industry and proven track record implementing corporate initiatives is in perfect alignment with UER’s long-term strategic expansion plans.

UER is the parent company of MatriScope Engineering Laboratories and Signet Testing Laboratories who specialize in providing geotechnical engineering, construction/special inspections, and material testing services to the construction industry.

Folsom’s newest apartment complex, Talavera Ridge, was just named this year’s Top Suburban Apartment Project by the Sacramento Business Journal. MatriScope provided special inspection and testing services related to cast-in-place concrete, shotcrete, masonry, structural steel and structural wood framing on this 4-story, multi-family development located in the heart of Folsom. Congratulations to the developers on the project, USA Properties Fund Inc. on this win!

In honor of the back-to-school season, we’re highlighting one of our many higher education projects, the Siskiyou Science Building at CSU Chico. Over our 25+ year history, we’ve provided special inspections and testing services to dozens of education-related projects in the Northern and Central California region.

MatriScope is proud to have provided special inspections and testing services on the new Natural Resources Agency Headquarters (also known as the P Street Building) in downtown Sacramento.

This specially designed building was designed to meet LEED-Platinum and net-zero energy standards, including radiant floor heating and cooling, reclaimed water systems, mechanical chilled sails, and building materials such as reclaimed wood and local/renewable materials.
