George and I had the best helper on site today, four legs of full enthusiasm! 🐶Everything was going great until we both sank knee-deep into an icy bog. ❄️
We laughed as we pulled each other out. Just another January in Maine.

Here in Maine, we have a law that requires surveyors to “give reasonable notice” to abutting land owners when a survey is being conducted. Hiding it from your neighbor, as this article might suggest, is not recommended and could be against the law.

They’re clearly playing the ‘give me an inch, I’ll take your whole yard’ game.

Check out this wicked old stump. The wire fence was tacked to the young softwood tree many years ago. The tree died and rotted away but the wire remained. It was a beautiful day in woods.
