Newly completed renovation and addition to ca. 1971 two-story steel framed and masonry public library in Meriden, CT which was originally designed by Gibbons, Heidmann & Salvador. Parkinson's disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disease (after Alzheimer's) in people over 50 years of age. Its exact cause is still unknown and its possible prevention is also unclear. Parkinson’s is a disease that affects many families, let’s hope in our lifetime a cure is found

Kirkbrae Country Club, Lincoln, RI

In May of 2023, a fire broke out in the kitchen at the Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island damaging the entire facility. RZ Design Associates, Inc. was asked to design the ventilation system for the commercial kitchen. The Country Club is fully operational and back to hosting events and weddings. We were happy to help restore this upscale facility!

RZ Design Associates, Inc. Is pleased to announce that Concetta Misiti, P.E. has joined our team as a Mechanical Engineer in our Connecticut headquarters. Connie has her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Connecticut since 1998. She brings with her broad expertise in building engineering systems, specializing in HVAC, and providing additional support in the areas of plumbing, fire protection and electrical. Her experience is diversified and includes new construction and renovations for commercial applications in healthcare, restaurants, retail, office, mixed-use, multi-family housing, congregate housing, and transitional living facilities. She is highly energetic, a willing team player who brings positivity and dedication to her role. RZDA welcomes her to the family!

RZ Design Associates, Inc., along with Fellner Architects had the pleasure of working on a renovation and addition to St. Clements Marina which is nestled among the picturesque banks of the Connecticut River in Portland, CT. RZDA’s work consisted of the structural design of a new 2 story, 11,000SF reception building with roof construction supported by timber trusses. Also included was a 17,000 gallon water storage tank below the building to provide a water supply for automatic fire protection sprinklers. RZ Design Associates, Inc., Hires new Senior Mechanical Engineer
RZ Design Associates, Inc., is pleased to announce that David E. Banks, P.E., has been hired as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. David graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer, registered in the State of Connecticut. David has over 16 years of MEP experience which capitalizes on HVAC design and application experience. He is a problem solver on complicated projects and brings a wealth of knowledge to our firm. David is up to date on the newest software applications and is well versed in Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, REVIT, and AutoCAD. He also specializes in energy modeling, data center design, and packaged DX equipment applications. David brings a new energetic dynamic to our Mechanical Engineering division and we are excited to have him on board.
