When the bride books a photographer that just gets it.

These gems had my jaw on the floor. It’s the simple moments. The quiet captures in between all of the movement of the day as well as all of the movement of the day. As a creative myself, I so adore the story these seemingly small ticks in time tell.

A simple yet impactful ceremony set up for A + N. They chose to rent our white pillars and wanted florals to adorn them as well as at their feet.

These beautiful plated designs can effortlessly transition into the reception space to frame out the head table.

I hope I can convince every bride into utilizing ground florals within their special day. They are so versatile!

When I tell you this floral season has been my most enjoyable one I’ve ever had, it’s because of my clients. The trust and creative freedom, the fun that they’re seeking in their florals, it’s all been so..easy.

Emily + Jay chose to have an intimate celebration to start the coming together of their love story, followed by a bigger party with all of their loved ones the following day. They wanted just a few floral touches to weave into their special day - something for him, something for her, something for the dinner, and a few dainty stems for her best girlfriends whom she dubbed her “wildflowers”.

Regardless of the size of the floral request, I will invest the same amount of time and creative planning to make sure that what I provide to my couples is exactly what they were hoping for and then some.

The florals fade, this we all know, but the feelings that they evoke - that’s the magic, and that’s where I always aim high.

Orange was a major player in this bride’s desired color palette. I ordered 225 stems of a flower variety in orange and they came in yellow. I ordered 250 stems of orange rose and they didn’t come at all.

I needed orange to pull it all together and it being the week after Mother’s Day wasn’t exactly in my favor. Luckily after many phone calls, emails, sos messages to fellow florist friends and a drive to Philly to get the goods…I got the orange goods.

I talk about these kinda of situations with my clients and how there is only so much I can control and sometimes substitutions may need to be made. But at the end of the day I’m your biggest fan and want to fulfill your vision and will do everything possible to get there.

The extra effort is always worth it🧡

There are far too many favorites from this gorgeous day so for now I’ll start with these two. Can you feel their love?! Oh myyy, these two were beyond warm and welcoming. Flowering for them was an easy yes and so enjoyable.

While setting up the space there was so much lovely chatter that filled the room. Everyone that joined the space was there to help and shower them with love as they began their forever together.

Sheiva chose COLOR and it not only complimented the clean details of their venue but it also complimented their excitement for one another perfectly.

Function over Fashion
.at least for the behind the scenes part of my business. I’ve come to the realization lately that not every part of the process has to be insta picture worthy, and if I held myself to that standard I’d quite literally never succeed, or get anything done.

Would I like my studio to be super cute and aesthetic at all times, yeah, of course. But the reality is that I work really hard and mess happens all around me. And my studio happens to be where we keep our longboards, lawn equipment and so much more for my family, who lucky for me aren’t completely obsessed with flowers - keeps me balanced.

Does this change the outcome of my work? Hell no. My work is a reflection of my character and I strive to provide beautiful pieces to my clients. I use what I have to get the results that I need to achieve.

So although I can’t always take the cutest BTS footage with gorgeous streams of light and impeccable surroundings, the function of my garage studio far outweighs its lack of fashion.

Does any of this really matter? I’m not sure. But my hope is that the clients who look to collaborate with me are more concerned with the end result than the process it takes to get there.

Gearing up for my next colorful wedding and can we just take a moment for this glowing bride surrounded by her best ladies and a color palette that surely only scratches the surface of how bright she shines on the regular.

The joy of it all coming together to reflect each couple and their personalities / desires is something I don’t think I’ll ever get over as a florist.

Sometimes the need for flowers isn’t much. Just a thoughtful touch here that gets repurposed there. And that’s okay. I’d still like to be the florist that gives you the much flowers or the not that much flowers.

I love the fullness of this photo. How the flowers perfectly fill the space between their feet and the table, and how the love between these two perfectly filled the space in a room of their nearest and dearest.

whimsy + elegant.

E + M wanted whimsy + elegance. I remember when I first chatted with Emily she described her ideal reception space florals as “Alice in Wonderland meets timeless elegance” and needless to say I was hooked.

Color, movement, intentionality - yes, please.

With that guidance, the freedom to create intuitively within the walls of my studio and the ability to finish my work in the incredibly warm and welcoming space of allowed for this charming sweetheart table moment. And when I saw how captured it..yea, that did it for me.

Sonny Floret is here for the whimsy and elegant. I’ll be throwing around this phrase in all of my upcoming consultations if this is the outcome.
