When did Dirty Blonde begin?

Artistically, the piece began in 2017 with my senior solo, "Roll With It" at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. The solo consisted of a series of events that made my stomach experience that dropping feeling you get, when you suddenly hit a dip in the road.

I expanded the piece in New York because I had something to say, and the way I know how to best express myself (and survive) is through writing and dance.

During the next few years, I questioned everything. and waited. and compiled information.

This year, the dialogue, movement, and acceptance of myself came together. I arrived again, at the beginning, seeing everything in a new light.
