Quimper Trails Association We are a group of mountain bikers that build and maintain trails in Jefferson County Washington. We also hope to build a bike skills park.

We are a group of mountain bikers who build and maintain trails at Gibbs Lake County park and Anderson Lake State park. Our future goals are to build a trail to link Gibbs Lake park with Anderson Lake park.

Hey greater Port Townsend area folks. We're about to get noisy!

You may have heard chatter about an effort to build a Pump Track in Port Townsend, and it's true, a group has been steadfastly working on the less glamorous details for a couple years. However, we've held off on pressing the community Get Pumped button until we were sure this was something that could really happen.

Well, the design is killer, the Fairgrounds is on board as the site, and the city permits are in hand so we're doing it. We're officially pressing the button and asking our community to join us in bringing a first class Pump Track and Bike Park to the area. Not surprisingly, the next step is fundraising to demonstrate community support in several upcoming grant applications.

So, through the end of April we're running a campaign with free informational events, a night of Comedy and Great Food, and an amazing online auction.

Visit our website and campaign to donate, buy event tickets, bid on auction items, or just learn more about the project. https://www.ptpumptrack.org/donation

And of course, Follow Us, to get all our upcoming updates (including new auction items as we add them).

Let's Ride!

It's time for the report on what we did in 2025.
We spent 52 hours with the string trimmers brushing back the ferns and other brush.
We spent 31 hours cleaning trees that fell across the trail (the one in the photo was from earlier today).
We also spent 24 hours doing other projects like cleaning out drains and trail repair.
That's a total of 107 hours maintaining the trails at Gibbs Lake.
We also did a few projects at Anderson Lake. For example, we used the QTA motorized wheelbarrow to haul gravel for the new trail that links with the new section of the Larry Scott trail. Unfortunately I didn't record our Anderson Lake work hours, but I'm guessing around 30 hours.

Looking forward to seeing you on the trail in 2026.

Today we had four Q.T.A. members joined a crew from the Backcountry Horsemen to lay gravel on a new trail that links Anderson Lake State Park with the end of the new section of the Larry Scott trail. We were able to move almost 20 cubic yards over an 800 foot trail.
The trail is scheduled to open around early January.
