Fact or Fiction? 🤔
Time for a quick challenge.
We recently released a new guide, “Process Digital Twins: Simplified with Simio,” focused on making digital twins practical and approachable. So we put together a short game based on some of the most common assumptions we hear.
Three statements.
Some are true. Some are not.
The question is… can you tell the difference?
These are the kinds of ideas that shape how teams approach process improvement. Some sound right at first glance. Others can lead teams in the wrong direction.

Answers:
1. “Digital twins are mainly for visualizing processes.” → Fiction
They go beyond visualization to simulate behavior, test scenarios, and support decision-making.
2. “Digital twins only matter for large, complex operations.” → Fiction
They can provide value at many levels, including smaller or more focused processes.
3. “A simple digital twin can still uncover major process improvements.” → Fact
Even relatively simple models can reveal bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities you might not otherwise see.
