It’s not every day you walk into a building and see a 7-ft-tall poster of yourself, but it happened to me last night☺️🫣🙂
Loved hanging out with the always-phenomenal, reliably supportive, continuously brilliant team at !
It was great meeting fellow entrepreneurs from around the Pittsburgh region at the eforever HQ to gather together, celebrate our wins & connect IRL!
Joining eforever has been one of the single most valuable decisions I’ve made as a business owner.
This community and our monthly pod meetings have proved to be immensely beneficial for me and for Doors Unhinged.
If you’re a small biz owner looking for a rewarding, supportive, expansive community to guide your biz to the next level, eforever is a wonderful solution.
Thanks for bringing us together!

“But will it match?” Our customers, rightfully, want to know whether the we source & resell from other projects that have undergone demolition, will actually match either:
A) the doors they
already have in their existing spaces and want to keep & replace just a couple as the building gets renovated or
B) the aesthetic they’re going for in a new space that will satisfy what’s in their specs.
This pic shows one of our doors (right) which we salvaged before it went into the landfill, and one of our customer’s doors that needed to be matched to outfit another opening in the same hallway.
Bingo! Forgive the glare in this image—these puppies are an exact match and our customer happily bought this door for the project.
This is just one example of the quality we’re able to deliver, quickly, easily & affordably.
We deeply value & appreciate each of our customers for thinking outside the box and being open to the possibilities when it comes to what we can actually accomplish together when they make the decision to go reclaimed!

We’ll be hanging in the first-ever pavilion alongside and would love to say hello!
Here’s the gist of the process we undertake to reclaim & resell back into projects 🙌
It’s a little more complex than we can show in this quick vid, but:
We’ve been doing this work since 2018 out of our HQ in PA & have mastered a system that is helping to solve the by:
🌱preserving precious natural resources that normally go into new manufacturing
🗑️reducing landfill waste by many thousands of tons annually
🏭drastically cutting CO2
💰helping our customers keep costs down
🌳giving , & a solution that 🔁actually🔁 makes their buildings greener
⏰eliminating & project timeline setbacks
👷🏼♂️creating local jobs
What’s not to love?!
This work isn’t easy but we wouldn’t give it up for the world—which is precisely why we do it 🌏💫🙌
If you’re in the , , or business too, we are honored to share space with you in this growing, thriving, transformative ecosystem that is material reuse!
Coz if we don’t do it, who will?!

We started Doors Unhinged with the belief that, collectively, we throw away a shocking amount of high-quality, usable and expensive stuff…like doors. It’s not that people like to throw doors away, they just have never had an easy and affordable alternative. Similarly, no one has effectively created the channels necessary to sell reused materials into the commercial market. Until now.
Andrew formulated this business concept when he was a sustainable enterprise consultant, as he sought to crack the code of how to drive more deconstruction and building material reuse, especially in non-residential sectors, without having to form a non-profit. The solution he came up with? Start with one product – doors – and become an expert and reliable source for them, much like other subcontractors in the construction field.
You might ask: “Of all things to focus on, why doors?” It’s true that doors are only one part of the vast stream of construction waste, but what makes doors unique as a salvage material is their high value, general good condition, and standardized sizes. Plus, all buildings have doors in one form or another.
Stay tuned as we experiment with building a supply chain from products destined for the landfill, and creating a secondary economy that delivers value to the construction industry while reducing environmental impact. Be a part of our story: help us find doors to recover and projects to supply!
