Unfortunately, this monster of a Sycamore had to come down due to fungal disease. 🌳

Fungal diseases can attack a tree’s roots, trunk, or internal wood, causing decay and gradually weakening its structural integrity. In some cases, a tree can still look healthy from the outside while significant decay is developing internally.

With a tree this massive, compromised wood can become a serious safety concern, especially when large limbs are hanging over structures or high-traffic areas.

It’s never easy removing a mature tree like this, but sometimes removal is the safest option.
