Mt. San Jacinto Peak Shelter. To many people this is almost like reaching the finish line of the 8,000 Meter Challenge. At this point you have summited three peaks and just need to make your way back down to the tram station.
We will also be at the shelter this Friday July 5th for our next training hike. The first tram up is at 8:00 am. We’ll see you there!

Regarding registration, we are so sorry about the delay. It is being worked on and should be up and ready soon. However, you can go to the website now to set up your teams fundraising page for Big City Mountaineers. Don’t forget the team that raises the most money has almost always won the event!

Yesterday was absolutely awesome! We had one of the biggest turnouts ever for a training hike with over 30 of us out on the trail! Thanks to everyone who joined and all the teams that showed up with numbers. Zappos, Manhattan, San Diego, Rancho Cucamonga, and North Face are off to a strong start. Plenty more pictures to come. Great news in our trail update for the training hike this Monday! This picture is from yesterday at the top of Mt Baldy by
Many of you have been asking about the trail conditions and if we will be hitting snow. Micro spikes and other snow equipment will most likely not be needed.
They are forecasting rain and thunder showers this weekend with Monday being mostly clear. Always be ready though! Bring your rain jacket and maybe an extra layer.

Less than 2 weeks till our first training hike on Mt Baldy! The training hike is June 4th, 8:00 am at the trail head. If you’re not sure how to get there, meet us at the Mt Baldy Lodge at 7:30 to follow us up to the trail. Time to train!
