The Original TensorSmith™ Smart Meter Ring™
“Most people have seen Smart Meter Rings™…
But almost nobody has ever seen the very first one.”
🌀 TensorSmith™ — Home of the Original Smart Meter Ring™ (Since 2018)
Before the Smart Meter Ring™ ever appeared in viral videos…
Before it became a recognizable idea online…
Before most people had ever even heard the phrase “tensor ring”…
Our small family workshop was already making them by hand.
This photo right here matters to us.
👉 It shows the very first prototype we ever made of what became known as the Smart Meter Ring™.
👉 It’s also the first image we ever shared publicly when introducing the idea.
At the time, tensor rings were almost entirely unknown outside of a very small circle.
There wasn’t a clear, everyday example people could see, recognize, or talk about.
What this simple copper ring did — unexpectedly — was connect the dots.
For the first time, millions of people were able to look at one object and say:
“Oh… so THAT’S what a tensor ring is.”
That single connection quietly changed the direction of the entire space.
A few years ago, we shared this vision with Katharina Spurling-Kaffl (Katharina Kaffl), continuing the legacy of her late husband Slim Spurling. And what we said then still matters to us now:
“Our goal was to help make one of Slim’s simplest tensor concepts a common household item across America and the world.”
Not through advertising.
Not through hype.
But by making an abstract idea visible, tangible, and understandable.
Watching how far this idea has traveled since then has been both surreal and deeply humbling.
To see conversations begin…
To see understanding spread…
To see a once-obscure concept become familiar to so many people…
We’re grateful.
For those who care about beginnings and craftsmanship:
• TensorSmith™ is where the Smart Meter Ring™ first took shape
• Handcrafted since 2018 — years before it went viral
• Family-run, faith-guided, made with real tools by real hands
Thank you for supporting original makers and for being part of this journey with us. ❤️
