Yet another project completed, this time for !

Big shoutout for the patience while we navigate life, other projects, and a little bit of ADHD 😂

This unit got a needed sun fade, some signs of primer peeking through the green roof, a patch out for Wells Fargo Rail, and we couldn’t complete this without including one of our EMD-D plows… not entirely a 1:1 to the prototype but we kept it lite and threw hints of detail in the weathering.

Let it be known that 6/13 will forever be WFRX day… since this one consumed the entire Saturday 😂

No parts on these, but finished up for a good client of ours. Not our first go around with some “light service” FEC units… but these came out perfect.

This may open a can of worms for the personal collection… regardless, enjoy the final result. 👍

Our friends over at Roundhouse South just announced something incredibly unique - a custom run of an MTH Electric Trains Premier Jack Daniel’s inspired Big Boy! Note - these will be in extremely limited quantities.

Us Florida boys love some JD, and if you are a fan of Country Bunkers Trains, you’d know that some of the inspiration of course comes from him and his custom JD diesels he completed recently.

What started out as a joke quickly became a “now THAT is badass” after I tossed together rough ideas for a rendering. The tentative rendering shown is a product of that vision.

Something tells me this won’t be available very long… so get your preorders in!

Professionally designed and printed, ready to be installed on your engine! Just simply remove your factory plow and use the existing holes and factory screws to install right on the pilot.

No need to cut and trim like others on the market! Also no gluing necessary. 100% Reversible!

Disclaimer:
- The plow shown attached to the engine is painted as a reference, the plows purchased are NOT painted. The buyer is responsible for painting.
- The fitments on 4 or 6 Axle GE engines are listed below. If your engine below is not listed, you are taking a risk of buying a part that does not fit.

Atlas may have announced in the catalog a sister to one of these two units, but these have been in the works for a long time. Finally finished them today.

For a good friend of ours Ron Range, here are (2) CN (ex Citirail) ES44’s that MTH did a while back. They don’t pop up often but when they did, he hopped on them to recreate a series of units that were spotted on one of his trips up to Canada.

These got a few upgrades in addition to the CN patch and weathering… notably our GE-C plow and newly announced GE ditch light housings.

Additionally, they also got fresh lighting with a warmer tint to look more natural and a ditch light flasher delete with a custom wiring harness (both front and rear).

Also….. an unannounced Kadee pilot insert for ES44’s and similar engines with the same pilot openings. A quick and easy way to reuse your 3 rail pilots and still fill in that large coupler opening when kadees are installed.

Stay tuned for their formal announcement in the next few weeks!

Here are some examples of our recently announced GE ditch light housings painted up.

Two versions are available - assembled and disassembled.

The assembled version is convenient if you are painting a solid color. Disassembled is great if you need to paint the light housing silver and the main housing a different color.

📝Guide for success:

(3) coats of flat black primer (to prevent light transparency through the housing

(2) coats of base color

(1-2) coats of matte clear of your choice.

These parts come in a black unpainted finish - waiting for you to paint and achieve similar results to below! 👍
