This is what you pay for from a good engine builder, at times I am called to picky, worry to much, etc.

My personal LS engine

Pic on the left blocked wrist pin oil hole new out of the box either from a burr or not drilled deep enough. (higher end piston manufacture)

Pic on the right the way it should look.

I saw this 25 years ago, and still see it today. You never trust that any component is to size etc. EVERYTHING gets checked and verified.

Coming soon (about 90 days), SCE Vulcan Cut Ring head gasket, I asked to get these produced for the Buick V6 eight and fourteen bolt application (same gasket) I have used them personally on BMW and LS engine and the sealing is unbelievable! I was like where were these twenty years ago.

I have had these engines apart for inspection and there was zero combustion or water leaks. However their for not someone that wants a MLS (or other) type head gasket what some call a safety. I always used the mindset to build engines that you dont have to take apart. A good theory but isnt 100% always.

Also working on getting the MLX gasket produced for the Buicks with a improved fire ring.

Heres alittle more info its a SS ring with teeth that bite into the cylinder head. Only negative which is debatable, you have to surface the head .004-.006 if you need to pull the heads to start off with a fresh surface.

A hybrid design forged to harness the best sealing properties of two head gasket types:

Composite
Pliable, perforated metal-core composite gasket body eliminates coolant and oil leaks. No sealant needed!

SILICONE BEAD SEAL Silicone bead seal is applied to critical areas. This ensures optimal performance in engine designs, which may be prone to leakage, due to excessive head bolt spacing or deck deflection.

Stainless Steel
Solid stainless cut-ring β€˜bites’ into the cylinder head forming a positive barrier against combustion pressure leaks. No machining required!

Designed for use with high static compression or forced-induction engines which are prone to combustion pressure leaks when using typical composite or MLS head gaskets. Especially 4-bolt-per-cylinder patterns such as BMW, Buick, Subaru, Toyota and Chevrolet LS series.

Stay tuned tomorrow I will share a new head gasket that will be available for Buick 3.800 and 4.00” bore engines. ETA 90 days. No machine work required. They will not be a safety mechanism . If you hurt one you really messed up.

Also an improved MLS is in the works for those who don’t want ultimate sealing. A safety mechanism.

FED will not stop improving this platform.

Pete Barton here, wow what a turnout being my first visit to the Turbo Farm I was shocked.

I want to thank Prasad Elamana and everyone involved for inviting me. I cant thank you all enough for welcoming me to the Turbo Farm Family. Was a flash back for sure. Everyone involved should be proud.

I got to see alot of faces I know. (dont want to say old and offend anyone) even tho im 52 and feeling it. And was glad to meet some new folks as well.

Some know me, alot dont so a brief history.

ANS Performance 1985-2005 worked there under my dad, owned 1997-2005

Worked at Precision Turbo 2005-2019 (Was nice to see so many PTE license plate frames and turbos yesterday)

2020-Present Own Fierce RC Solutions a online company
Still built engines for my personal toys and some LS stuff during this absence.

Fast forward to today, I never really thought I would recircle back to Buicks or building engines again. About a month ago I started researching Buick engines meaning I was curious whats changed. Well the basics seem the same, with improved turbo tech, fuel management, and of course some other things.

I was thinking come on this stuff has to be drying up like OEM cranks, rods, etc. Then I saw theres affordable steel cranks, rods, more manufactures making parts for them etc. So who cares the OEM stuff is drying up. Kinda started the bug again and was exciting. Its hard to believe I can say a car that ended in 1987 can still evolve and will continue to. And lets be truthful the Buick GN started this whole turbo the world today.

So I have contacted some old contacts at machine shops about doing my machine work. Its looking promising, however I need some time to sort this all out, have the right place I trust, I dug out my measuring instruments, some I need to update and have calibrated. If I dont feel this can be done 110% right I wont do it. Im even entertaining shopping for equipment and just do it all.

Also this will be on a small scale, to keep turn around acceptable, no cars, engines only.

So lets see how it progresses, maybe by the end of the year will be able to start.

For now like the Fierce Engine Development page, I will be posting some History pics, some will be poor quality sorry the IPhone wasnt born yet back then. If anyone has any feel free to post. And you can PM me on the FED page.

Thanks Again
