In the summer of 2024, Bandit Industries introduced the Model 12XC, expanding our lineup of hand-fed woodchippers with a compact, powerful, and affordable option for tree care professionals.

For the first time ever, Bandit now offers a centrifugal clutch option — available exclusively on the 12XC equipped with a Mitsubishi gas engine. This new design automatically engages and disengages power based on engine speed, providing smooth operation and simplified maintenance.

At idle, the clutch remains disengaged. As the engine speed increases, centrifugal force pushes the clutch weights outward, engaging the drum around 1,500 RPM. Throttle down, and the clutch automatically disengages again — a clean, efficient system built for reliability.

The centrifugal clutch is an optional configuration on the 12XC. Other clutch systems remain available to fit your specific preferences and jobsite requirements.
