Last week was a great one on the Panda Motorworks dyno, with everything from baseline testing to full E50 tuning sessions putting down some impressive numbers.
First up was a 2018 Ford Focus RS that came in for baseline pulls before the upgrades began. The car laid down 277whp and 326wtq in stock form. We’ve got more planned for this one soon, so stay tuned for the next round of results once the parts are installed.
Next was a freshly built Focus RS that came back after break-in for its E50 tuning session. This setup features a Pandabuilt Short Block, Pandabuilt Ported Head, Piper V3 Cams, a PTE Drop-In Turbo, Nostrum HPFP and Injectors, along with the usual supporting mods, including intake, intercooler, and turbo-back exhaust. Final numbers came in at 456whp and 454wtq.
We had a Mazdaspeed 3 on the rollers for 93 octane tuning. Equipped with an intake, intercooler, and turbo-back exhaust, the car started at 240whp and 254wtq. After tuning, it finished at 258whp and a massive 328wtq.
The Panda 2022 2.3L Bronco returned to the dyno for more R&D work, this time switching over to E50 fuel. After optimizing the calibration for the new fuel setup, the Bronco put down 331whp and 382wtq, showing strong gains over the previous 93-octane tune.
Last but not least, the Panda 2025 Tacoma came in for additional R&D testing on E30 fuel. In completely stock form, the truck made 247whp and 296wtq. With the Panda 93 Tune, it increased to 276whp and 343wtq. After moving to the Panda E30 Tune, the Tacoma finished at 305whp and 357wtq. Solid gains for an otherwise stock truck, and we’re just getting started with this platform.
