Latest Pokemon Episode review/summary thing
Watch out for aliens invading from the planet Cilantron. And spoilers. There’s sort of a little bit of one, but otherwise not much happens. Anyway, proceed for some LQ caps and nonsense:
Well well well, here we are in Tachiwaki City, the home of Homika and The Koffings, but that’s next week.
But Ash doesn’t have the advantage of audience foresight and next week’s preview, so he’s all fired up right off the boat:
Not so fast. Cilan gets off the boat all fired up too, rambling about the “Creative and passionate atmosphere” and when Iris asks what’s up, he goes rambling on some more about this area being sacred ground for a Movie Connoisseur, because there have been many movies made in Tachiwaki City.
Then, Ash turns to see…… Ash?? Yup! Luke and Zorua are here. “Hey, long time no see!” Ash says, but really it hasn’t been that long, has it? Oh well. As we all know from Ash’s perpeual tweendom, time is verrrrry tricky in Pokemon anime world.
“What brings you here Ash?” “A gym battle of course that’s why I ever go anywhere you dumbyamask. What are you doing here?” “I’m here for the Pre-opening Event!” Luke says, and Cilan seems to know what event it is, “No way! You mean there?” Oh yes way. Luke is going to the Pre-opening event of the new Universal Studios Pokewood theme park, which is basically exactly like Universal Studios. Probably even has those frozen bananas. Oh, and you experience the movie making process instead of going on rides about them. I’m sure Ash would have preferred the second option. So, Luke’s had some acclaim from his movie they made with him, and he invites them to come with him to Pokewood’s pre-opening as part of “Team Luke.” Cilan is thrilled.
“Y-y-you mean we can get in to Pokewood too?!?!” “Sure, you can be my entourage. Carry my equipment. Get me lattes. Go team Luke!”
“WOW WHAT A WONDERFUL TASTE!!” “HEY THAT’S MY LATTE”
But Ash starts to protest, because THE GYM BATTLE, but Cilan quickly puts a stop to that for this one of a kind chance.
Trust me Ash. You’re going to Pokewood.
Cilan just fanboys like he’s never fanboyed before once inside. Seriously, I think he really outdid himself. I would pay lots of money to have seen Mr. Miyano recording this. The “Historical” “Great Dream Factory” of Pokewood is very cute looking, with nods to classic Hollywood all over the place.
They’ve even got one of those prop museums. I love the idea of Indiana Pansear? Haha. He does mention a “Pokemon Wars Saga” which I would think has something to do with Darth Gurrdurr /shot
So anyway, they fanboy so hard that Cilan is creying about how great movies are.
“They’re the BEST!” Luke gets up and announces that actually, there’s a movie contest in Pokewood, and actually, he’d like their help seeing how well the last one turned out. Of course Cilan is thrilled to be making movies on the real Pokewood sets and everything. Then Mr. Gold, some movie bigwig who saw Luke’s last movie, comes by and says he wants Iris to star in his next adult film is looking forward to seeing this next one.
They go to the props and costumes room to have a look at the stuff available for contestants to use (so that it’s fair, they all will pick from the same ones). Then they stop for lunch.
Luke is showing everyone the storyboard, when….
RIVAL’d. Even when it’s not a Pokemon Battle Club, there’s rivals that show up when you’re eating lunch. Anyway, this guy’s name is, are you ready for this? JAWS.
So, now it’s movie making time!
Ash, Pikachu and Pignite are the heroes troop. Cilan is the fabulous evil alien who wreaks havoc with MECHA TYRANITAR. Iris, Zorua, and Axew are the shrine maidens (again).
So, they’re making the movie, and it’s pretty much like you really do make movies, (and I would know this because I happen to be finishing my degree in this field….. well, editing is technically the focus, but we still had to make plenty of movies in order to have something to edit. No, I will no ever show you any of them they suck.)
There’s a cute bit that I uploaded a set of earlier where Iris is having trouble with the most important scene, and so Cilan suggests instead of Golett, she imagine she’s having to part with Axew, and that gets her to cry. Real good.
So then, we cut to Meloetta, on the run from Team Rocket. They can’t find their target, since it’s invisible, but they aren’t going to give up looking.
LOL palm trees. Just had to put that out there.

Don’t worry, I won’t tell you the answer to Who’s That Pokemon.
So, Ash and Pikachu are in the prop room looking for a particular miniature, when Meloetta, who’s invisibly hiding in there, starts running away from them and runs into something, then some stuff almost falls on it but Ash grabs it and pushes it out of the way. But then it’s invisible again…..
So, they finish the filming, then it’s onto post production, and that’s accurate too. Luke has the editing skills. :D

Then it’s time for the premiere!! We get to see a bit of the kind of movie JAWS likes to make:
And then we see Luke’s final result!
Nice touch.
Ash and the Unova Protection League have discovered a Tyranitar terrorizing the town!! (/shot) But it’s actually Mecha Tyranitar who shoots down his ship. Turns out, it’s the Cilantronian bad guy from the planet Cilantron controlling it, and kidnapping all the pokemon on the island into his spaceship. Muwahahahhaa!! So the Shrine maidens (I have no idea why there are two….. homage to The Shining? LOL…. it sounds creepy) try to awaken the legendary protector of the island, Giant Golurk. But it doesn’t work. And then Mecha Tyranitar aims for them…..
But misses! Because Golett got between the blast and the Irises. And then its dying in their arms, and one of those movie cliches happen where they crey shiny tears on it, and….. IT BECOMES THE LEGENDARY GOLURK! Bet you didn’t see that coming. :3
So the day is saved!! And the bad guy goes kaboom.
And then…..
Don’t forget us in your acceptance speech Luke!
And so, they say goodbye, and this probably will be the final time since they’re moving on to East Unova. Best Wishes Luke!
