Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Professional Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in geotechnical engineering principles and practices, with a focus on project management and construction oversight. As a Civil / Geotechnical Professional Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting site investigations, analyzing soil and rock properties, and providing recommendations for foundation design and construction methods. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the success of various civil engineering projects.
Duties
• Interpret pile job requirement for the project.
• Inspect pile driving activities.
• Able to determine from blow counts pile cut-off/ refusal.
• Field Inspection & supervision of geotechnical investigation.
• Familiar with Soil Classification Systems
• Perform or witness pile load test and performance testing
• Perform analysis for foundations, embankments, retaining walls, tunnels and underground structures under the supervision of the Technical Director.
• Inspect pile production activities such as reinforcement installation and concrete placement.
• Must be able to read and interpret Geotechnical, Sub-surface investigation reports.
• Knowledge of Technical Report writing is an advantage.
Qualifications
• Registered / Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York.
• ACI, ICC, NICET and AWS Certifications is an advantage.
• Experience in Support of Excavation (SOE) and subsurface soil investigations, soil stabilization, slope & risk assessments.
• OSHA 30 certified.
• Knowledge in interpreting Geotechnical and Sub-surface investigation reports.
• Familiar with pile driving methods and equipment.
• Preferably with 5 years minimum experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have their own vehicle.
Specific Work Location
• Within the Tri-State Area.

Location: Project Sites within New York, U.S.A
Job Type: Full-time/ Part-Time

Quality Control Laboratories LLC. is looking for experienced Inspector (Full time and Part Time) for NYCDOT projects under Supervision of Professional Licensed Engineer.

Qualifications:
• Graduate of Engineering (preferred)
• NICET II – Asphalt certification and/or NYHMA Field Density or NYHMA QA/QC Certifications
• Have Current OSHA 30
• Active Driver’s License
• Experience working with NYC DOT Asphalt paving is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Essential Functions
• To be assigned to various NYC DOT Asphalt paving projects around the five (5) boroughs.
• To inspect and tests paving operations in compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards. Testing shall be performed with the use of Nuclear Gauge.
• To prepare daily field inspections reports on time and adhering to procedures for notifying discrepancies.
• Communicating with project managers, colleagues, and contractors as necessary.
• Utilizing computer-based web applications and other relevant office software to complete daily reports.
Other Requirements
During the ex*****on of this crucial function for the role, it is essential to:
• Maneuver within the job site, ensuring appropriate positioning to access necessary testing areas, materials, and equipment throughout the entire shift.
• Lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 lbs. (such as Nuclear Gauge Equipment, and other types of equipment).
Salary: Contingent upon experience and qualification
