Greg Damerow, Adaptive Bicycle Builder Delivering personalized cycles for riders of all abilities

Over the next few months, I will be using The Hartford’s $10,000 grant to continue to refine the prototypes of my adaptive bikes, trikes and handcycles, upgrade shop equipment and spread the word about the business through face to marketing at racing events, and by establising a greater web prescence.

It is looking as though my London Schedule will allow me to cheer for friend and fellow handcyclist Cassie Mitchell as she represents the US in track and field disciplines. She got some really good recent coverage.

Cassie Mitchell, a quadriplegic, leaves on Thursday for the 2012 London Paralympics. She'll represent not just her native Oklahoma, or her adopted city of Atlanta.

Bluestreak Time Trial results: Very variable winds, and a non functioning cycle computer meant relying on memory and instinct to set the pace. 9.9 miles in 34 minutes for a average speed of 17.51 mph

08/07/2012

After recently completing a 300 miles bike trip across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana, CTSP rider Greg will be racing at the Bluestreak TT tomorrow evening. There are two more Bluestreaks remaining: September 12 and October 10.

Was not feeling well before the BlueStreak Time Trial but managed to do 33:48 on the 9.9 miles which was good enough for a 17.6mph average. Slightly slower than before but still happy with the results. Tailwind near the finish was great: Was going almost 25mph at the finish!

Today saw the first meeting and brainstorming session to set up a paracycling race here in the Cincinnati tri-state for 2013. Thanks to Kelly Knox, Charles McDonald, and Susan McDaniel for taking the time and contributing your numerous talents and resources! Prospective sponsors and volunteers are encouraged to apply and make contact here or at [email protected]

USA Cycling Road Race National results: 30 miles in 2hr 13 minutes. Which was good enough for second place and a second time on the podium. God is always good even on the tough days, but this day I had the strength to overcome the course after a sleepless night. (Official times were way off. Time was taken from the cycle computer.)

06/23/2012

Road race start time at the Nationals is now less than 3 hours
away. 30 miles of rolling hills in the pines of Georgia.
Announcement of the men's and women's cycling teams bound
for London was made last night!
