At Clark Industrial the saying goes we can weld the crack of dawn and mend a broken heart but I never thought we would weld an airplane to the ground. Neptune Aviation here in Missoula retired this fire fighting air tanker and put it on display at the entrance to the Missoula airport. This plane flew missions off the coast of Florida during the Cuban Missile crisis as part of its history. We welded and powder coated the anchors and then welded them in place when the aircraft was moved onto the pads.
