Another custom sign knocked out with a same-day turnaround!

A customer needed this sign made ASAP, so we got right to work and made it happen! This one is actually headed all the way to Canada, which is pretty cool knowing our work is making its way across the border!

We also cut out some custom weathervane arrows and directional letters for another project!

We’ve been staying busy with mobile repairs this week, making the most of the nice weather while it lasts! Here’s a look at a few of the jobs we’ve been working on lately!

Just because we’re based out of Minocqua doesn’t mean we only work in the surrounding area. One of these jobs took us up into Michigan’s UP, and we’ve even spent weeks working as far south as Racine!

Distance isn’t an issue for us! Whether you’re right down the road or hours away, we’re willing to travel to get the job done!

We know how important it is to keep your equipment running, especially during the busy season!

This barge trailer came to us after losing a hub going down the road. Once we tore into it, we found the spindle was destroyed and the trailer needed a new axle.

Luckily, Elite Industries, LLC, the manufacturer of these barges and trailers, had what we needed in stock. Rather than wait for shipping, we hit the road to pick it up ourselves and even got a tour of their manufacturing facility while we were there!

We made it home around midnight, and by the next day we had the new axle installed and the trailer ready to get back to work.

That’s what our emergency repair service is all about. Sometimes it takes a late night, a road trip, or going the extra mile to get the job done. We know downtime costs money, and we do everything we can to keep it to a minimum.

What could’ve been a week of downtime turned into a next-day turnaround. At O’Reilly Mobile Welding, we do what it takes to keep our customers moving!

🌲 Keeping the Logging Industry Moving! 🛠️

Here’s a look at a recent onsite welding repair we completed deep in the woods for a local logging company!

This skidder was down after a pipe broke, bringing operations to a halt. With our fast response and quality welding services, we were able to get the machine repaired and back to work with minimal downtime!

Unfortunately, the following week, another component that had previously been fabricated by a different shop failed. We headed right back into the woods, made the necessary repairs, and got this skidder back up and running again!

Two trips, two successful repairs, and one more machine back to making money!

Here’s a big run of brackets we knocked out for a local marina! 64 parts total, using up two full sheets of 3/16” steel. Jobs like this are where having our CNC plasma table really comes in handy, allowing us to produce repeatable parts quickly and accurately.

Ran into a fun situation last night. Blew the head gaskets in my truck, so we’re fixing them in-house. Of course, at 11 PM we realized we needed a 48mm wrench and didn’t have one. Instead of calling it a night, we fired up the plasma table, drew one up, cut it out, and got right back to work.

Perks of having a plasma table, I guess 😂🔧

Another trailer upgrade out the door!

Installed a swing-away tongue kit on this trailer, allowing the tongue to fold off to the side and significantly shorten the trailer’s overall storage length.

Perfect upgrade for anyone trying to fit a longer trailer into a garage or tight storage space without buying a different trailer.

With the drought and water levels being extremely low this year, a lot of pontoons are taking more effort than normal to get off lifts, trailers, or out of shallow areas.

Be careful where and how hard you pull. These factory pull points are strong, but they are not impossible to rip off, especially with a hard jerk or side load.

If one does break, crack, or pull away from the pontoon, give O’Reilly Mobile Welding a call. We can repair and reinforce it and get you back on the water.
