A high-performance containment system starts long before the coating is applied—it starts with the right process.

When installing a polyurea lining to concrete containments, tank bases or trucking stations proper preparation and priming are critical to ensuring long-term performance and adhesion to the concrete substrate.

Key steps in the process:

✔ Surface Preparation – Abrasive blasting the concrete to achieve the required profile (CSP 3–5), opening pores for optimal bonding
✔ Thorough Cleaning – Removing all dust, debris, and contaminants that could compromise adhesion
✔ Concrete Repairs – Addressing small cracks, spalls, and pe*******ons to create a sound substrate
✔ Primer Application – Applying a compatible primer to seal the surface and promote maximum adhesion
✔ Polyurea Application (60 mils) – Spray-applying a seamless, chemical-resistant coating at the specified thickness for durability and containment integrity

The end result is a seamless, impermeable barrier designed to withstand harsh conditions, prevent leaks, and extend the life of the containment system.
